My new intake

Post by FTO338 »

Ok I went around to my mate "OnTheRunPerformance" today & they got me this new air intake.

Anyway for anyone who is interested, they are selling them for $150, that’s with all the piping, the silicone join where the TB is & a pod filter. Their number is (03) 9899 3260

These pics are taken at an underground car park, so they aren't the best, but it is something for now, until I find some time to take some better one.

That looks rather nice!!!

Dont suppose you know if they would just do the pipe. I have an ARC running off a standard pipe at the moment. Want to get a ARC chamber for it eventually, but in the mean time, if the price on the pipe was reasonable.....

I don't see why not, i had the Rush pod filter before this, but some smart ass decided to "nick" my original silicone adaptor for it, so i just got a new pod filter instead.

Anyway give them a buzz, & i'm sure they can origanise something for you.

They just your normal windscreen sunshade, I got the idea when I saw them on few cars at the drag strip 5yrs ago.

I've got a pipe running from the front to the "boxed" area. You will find there is a large "hole" section just behind the air-con condenser. I also left the original piping for the OEM air box. So technically I’ve got two pipes scooping air from the front.

I forgot to mention, this kit are for GPX only, & the battery i've got there are the full size 4WD one, so if you got a normal battery, it won't be as tight as mine.

That piping looks really nice. what size opening is at the end of it, i was thinking of mating it to a 75mm Ralliart air intake.

Kev, do you know if the silicone comes in blue? Also, im assuming that they do not post to Sydney, judging by what akuma said. I will PM you on this if i decide i have the cash to burn, but do you think we could come to some sort of arrangement where i could pay you and you could arrange pick up and postage? There could be a tip involved

I just rang Johnny, & he said he will post it anywhere at the buyer cost of course, & his going to find out the shopping cost to per capital tomorrow & then let me know. The silicone comes in blue, black, yellow & red. He did mention $150 is pre-assemble, & if you want to kit assembled, which mean is just plug & play, it will be $180.

Don't remember the opening size, as I didn't measure it, & Barfy, I take some pics of the front piping when I can get my car on a hoist, as its easier to see from underneath.

    Just ordered mine! :D

Just a quick question, how much louder is it than a standard air intake with an apexi exhaust? At idle speeds is of most concern to me as i live in a townhouse complex!

    VERY EXCITED!!!
