Steering Wheel Shakes

Just a simple common question, why does my steering shakes when it gets up to 100+, i did wheel aligment so i'm sure it can't be that, what could be the problem because i know all old cars do that?

    it could be that the tyre is not aligned properly or the whell is buckled.
    try spinning the wheel on the car and check that it is running true.
    Also check for a damaged tyre.

    try swapping the fronts to the back and see if it still vibrating, if not keep looking at the wheels / tyres.

    Disc rotors may need machining too... do you get any vibration from the brake pedal when applied at that speed?

    new rims new tyres ... wheel alig

    from braking only squeeeek noise probably because of my brake pad, but no vibration

    how long does a wheel balance last till it just wander off again?

    Depends on who did the balance. though with new rims etc you'd think it would be ok. Maybe one or more of the weights has come off. Wheel bearings maybe?

    well, any suggestion for a place to do wheel balance in sydney? 8O

    yeah will be a balance for sure. In my opinion always go to say Beau Repairs etc for a wheel balance they always do a top notch job.

    If that fails check your steering rack.

    just did a wheel balance but it's shakes, comes to think about it i start shaking after i change my steering wheel ... how could i fix it? :?
