Grommets, Screws and Caps

Post by dstocks »

Is your door trim loose, or do you have the wrong screws or missing caps. Cross threaded door grommets are very common (and the screws and caps go missing).

I have identified the part numbers for these:

MB879790 - Screw ($1.40) - http://www.completefto.com.au/FTO_showcon ... p?pid=2055
MR734491 - Cap ($4.35) - http://www.completefto.com.au/FTO_showcon ... p?pid=2054
MB419858 - Grommet ($2.45) - http://www.completefto.com.au/FTO_showcon ... p?pid=2056

All available overnight from your local Mitsubishi Dealer.

BTW - Now have the Genuine Mitsubishi FTO Parts DB up and running. Will move parts across to Complete FTO as time permits (and if anyone has priorities.....let me know)

    Yep,

Certainly wouldnt cost much to make. I guess it could be worse though - they could be charging $10 ea. Its not as if you can really get them anywhere else easily.

No more than the others (and no less mind you). They are pretty much the same as all other car manufacturers - they make heaps out of parts. The FTO front headlight costs in the order of $800 new (I know, I bought one). One of the Audi headlights (not sure which model) costs close to $2000.

Lets face it, they are all as bad as each other, and, in this case, you can fix your doors for less than $20 (ive ordered 6 grommets and a screw to replace the bodgy ones I have).

OH and if the clips that your trim clips to the door with (the ones all around the edge of the trim) have broken (as they do) - try MB608104 or MB317746

Got another one that often breaks.

Rear Parcel Shelf clips (the ones that hold down the rear parcel shelf): MR146788.

Got my order today. They are the right ones
