Well if its leaking from the timing belt end, it probably is. There are no hoses attached to the pump, it feeds water directly in & out of the block.

If you sure it is the pump, the cheapest place to get one is kempys www.kempys.co.nz - send and email to them, aftermarket ones are down to about $80 bucks.

As for a mechanic, Im sure some of the QWLD guys can help you out. Being a Sydney sider I dont know.

Could be the aircon.

On a side note, I can't see a bubble in my thing, so I daresay it needs regassing, where and how much?

yeah ive got the new pump sitting at home its leaking near the timing belt but my rattle gun thingy wasnt powerful enough to undo some of the bolts so i could get to the pump.

ive been qouted 150-200$ for the installation plus checking the entire cooling system plus flushing it all out by a work mates mechanic
