Does anyone know where/how/who can we get these cools lamps from?
I heard they cost in excess of Aud 800!
Would anyone be willing to fork out such an amount for these?
Cheers!

These lamps originated from the Project F West FTO club in Japan.
Can't remember exactly how much they were (but > $800 doesn't sound off the mark), but the last time I went to their website, they said they are no longer manufacturing them.
Personally I wouldn't get them even if they were cheaper. Don't really like the look. Each to their own I guess.

Hi,
Not so long ago I got in contact with the guy who actually made them in Japan.
They only made 100 sets pre-ordered from an FTO club in Japan.
They were actually sold all over the world who had FTOs, but only if you knew about it.
They don't make them any more because they leak.
And they were sold at US$500. That's over a AUS$1000.
He told me that he might make them again, but I don't think they are worth the price....
Just too expensive.
How does it look?
Only if I knew how to post pics here!

clear lights
yea I'm tended to steer away from clear lights cause even commies have got em now and that makes em way to common.
On the other hand, I'm thinkin of pulling the rear lights apart and somehow adding a few super bright LEDS, in a ring, to get that "jet Exhaust" look (like the lexus and a few nissans)....
Anyone had their rear lights out???

A lot of new cars are coming out with clear tail lights now. Just look at the Mazda 6 and RX8. From a safety point of view most car manufacturers prefer not to include clear tail lights on their models. I guess some of them might be targeting a younger market.
When reviewing the new Mitsubishi Lancer, a recent Cars Guide in the Victorian Herald Sun said that the inclusion of clear tail lights on the VRX model means that they are "paying attention to those Chapel St boys"
