Power Window Problems...

Post by NorthQLDFTO »

Righto... I've just started having problems with the passenger side power window! Well, actually it's the switch on the drivers side that has issues cause if I use the switch on the passengers side the window operates without a hitch...

Clearly I need to fix the switch on the drivers side but what I want to know is if I can fix it so that like the drivers window I can push down on the switch once & the window will go all the way down/up without having to hold it?

I'd like to rig the passengers switch to do the same as well...

Any ideas as to what I need to do this?

Yeah I figured it could be that... But I still want to rig it so that the windows go all the way up/down with just one press!

Well... Yeah... Of course... That's the obvious solution... Ha Ha! Like I hadn't thought of THAT already...

If you notice with the drivers switch you can either push it lightly and control the placing of the window or you can just nail it and have the window go the whole 9 yards.

Just build the passenger switch to do the same, become a two stage switch.

And no, I have no idea how to do that.

Go buy a drivers side window switch & adapt it to fit in the passenger door & wire up as per the old one :)
