Soon to be FTO owner

Post by testlabmonkey »

Hello to all SA FTO owners. I am currently in the process of purchasing my first FTO and am getting pretty darned excited about it. I live in the south of Adelaide and as soon as I own my car I'll put up details. Looking forward to any upcoming SA events. Can't wait to join that exclusive group of South Aussie FTO owners.

Thanks guys. So I've found a car in Richmond Vic. Whats the chances of getting a helpful member of the club to give the car a once over? Anyone know of a member around this area. I'm going to post something on the Vic forum and see how I go.

Make sure you get a RAA or whatever the vics call it to check it out and also a finance check on it just to make sure there isnt any money owing it...

There also is a company that does the handover for you if your getting it transported .... Let me know how you go

Thanks for the support guys. FTO338 has been kind enough to give the car a once over. Will definately be getting a full inspection on the car by RACV if he gives it the thumbs up then its on a plane over to final inspect it before handing over my check and driving that beast back to SA. This way I figure there will be one more FTO for SA and one less for the VICs haha.... sorry just had to add that in there.

Keep you all posted.

Well im back from vic with my car and and very happy with the way it drives and the way it looks. Will be putting up some pics very soon.

Found this AWSOME road from Stirling to Happy Valley on the drive home and it was deserted and extremely windy and so much fun to drive on, and i never had to break the 80km speed limit. <--crusise :P

There are plenty of things i dont like about my car, rattly window that needs fixing, stereo needs rewiring, rattly back parcel shelf, excessive road noise, loud back suspension when going over sharp speed bumps and a sticky accelerator pedal when you first get in. But least it gives me something to work on :P

so next problem is getting through a regency identity check without a defect. fingers crossed.

Good to hear you made it back!

Let us know how you go.

Up for a cruise this weekend??? Just an informal get together. Strathalbyn - Victor and back. Nice drive that one.

Think we are well overdue. Must check with Luca.

Luca is car-less this weekend, so may not get the chance.

I assume that means the car got through Regency?
