someone help me with respray colour please

Post by yirong1188 »

hello everyone,

i'm soon going to respray my car .. but can't decide what colour to pick..... can someone give me some suggestions, or anybody who's good with photoshop, please try some colours for me....

really want some funcky colours, but don't know what'll look good on the actual car..... (i'm looking at lime green, purple-ish pink.... those really bright and funcky ones.. )

if anyone knows a little about the re-spray cost... please let me know as well..... thanks a lot everyone..

Have to admit i love the look of a nicely kitted white FTO. I reckon stick with the white, it matches your interiour.

As for prcie looking somewhere between $3-5K for a decent job depending on the extent of the re-spray and the type of paint

thanks everyone...

I do like the white colour as well, one of the reason is to match my car's interior.....

but i just would like to get a colour which is rare on FTO... such as Fluro Green, Pink Pearl.. or Orange.... some really funcky colours.. I just don't want to risk it by spraying it on, that's why I would like to have a look how it will look with different colours first before actually spraying ....... I'll post up a picture for people who's good at photoshop.... thanks a lot for everyone's help and great suggestions..

the exterior of my car at the moment is everything from stock.. haven't changed anything yet... but i'm going to VS style front and side skirts from UAS and an AB style bonnet..... Can anyone tell me if in a rainy day, will the rain get into the engine bay since the AB style bonnet has some holes on it....... ?????

once again.. thank you all.

Personally -I really think you should go with some version of white.... or the lexus silver that was used on INDY FTO - that looked fantastic.

I actually really like that green, i usually hate cars painted obnoxious colours!

But yeah, another vote for white. Plus get a D'Cuatro kit and a rear GT wing. You'll have a hawt looking race car on your hands.

Personally I have mine in superwhite.... like it...easy to clean and a universal appeal...plus its cheaper to maintain/respray... for a daily driven car, a special colour will be hard to maintain cause you would usually have to do over the whole fender/area when you get any scratches/damage.

U know which colour would look really cool. U guys seen a spoon a shiny spoon. that color - get that. and then get black tribal vinyls or get airbrush painted flames. I think getting that silver solor of a spoon is really expensive.

If I was going to paint a car, I would have to choose between two colours - the blue that the VW R32 Golfs are painted, or the red that the Blitzen Subaru Legacies (or Libertys for you west islanders) are. My two favourite colours at the moment...

Always thought that Ferrari Silver was pretty cool. One of the guys fron the UK forums had it done, and looks well wicked, and different enough from the original FTO silver to turn heads.

That second option looks nice, the BMW champaigne gold color.

Silver is still the best......looks good on Porsches and Ferraris......and FTO's.
