Miscellaneous Initial D Questions

Post by Supplanter »

I was in a Chinese video rental place this week and noticed some posters hanging up that looked like they were advertising a live action version of Initial D 8O Was I seeing things?

Is there an English dubbed version of the original anime, and does it have any FTOs in it :P

You were seeing things, it was most likely a poster for the live action initial D movie.

Available Tuesday, 15 November 2005 on DVD. Now available overseas if you can't wait.

Also check out Initial D the Movie

I haven't watched the entire series or the feature length animation but as far as I know there are no FTO's.

Ok let me clear this, it is a live action movie, its base on the similar story line of the original comic/manga.

The "Tofu boy" is Taiwanese, & the rest are Honkie (Hong Kong) actor, this is a film made by Honkie, but shot in Japan with real drifting & real cars like R32 GTR, EVO 3,4, FD RX7.... and the location is the actual mountain described in the comic/manga.

I brought the DVD 3 weeks ago (Honkie version), & they do have English sub, but very crappy.

Also if you into Asian action movie, go & get Ong Bak, Tony Jaa is like Jackie Chan reborn with the speed of Jet Li.

Yeah i've had Ong Bak for a while now. It's a friggin amazing film, especially when you take into consideration that there was no special effects or wires involved. Every scene was filmed just as it happened. 8)

Tony Jaa is almost super human! 8O
