Tips on removing boss kit....anyone?

i recently changed my steering wheel but i made the mistake of putting it all back together without actually making sure the wheels were straight.
Now its impossible to remove the boss kit to re adjust it.
Does anyone have any tips on removing the boss kit???

Can you remove the wheel & take out the horn button assembly - then put the wheel back on temporarily so you can undo the centre nut & yank the whole lot off?

mmm there's an idea.....why didn't i think of that....i will try and see if i can do that...thanks for the tip
