I need to clean the other side of the plastic housing that covers the speedo etc. I have noticed that there are two screws in the dash above the plastic just up from the steering wheel. If I remove them, then it would probably slide out, but what about the fog lights and antenna, are these easy to unplug?
I basically just need to clean the other side of the plastic (something looks to be stuck on it).
Is this relatively easy?
How do I remove the speedo dash plastic thingy?

the 2 screws that you see above the steering column is to loosen the housing shroud for the dash... once you remove the shroud, you will see the gauge cluster with 4x screws (i think) on its edge ... you can either 'unplug' the entire cluster assembly or just use a screwdriver to take the plastic cover off form the gauge cluster assembly, but from memory it's quite hard to do with the steering wheel in the way, esp when putting the screws back on...
If you are in Melb i can show you one this weekend...

I've had to do this twice already while installing my new dials so here goes:
First lower the steering column to the lowest position by pulling the rod underneath downwards. Undo those 2 screws that you and GPXXX are talking about to loosen the shroud. Gently pull it out a little and then unclip the wires for fogs and antenna (they unplug quite easily).
I'm assuming you want to clean the INSIDE of the plastic housing rather than the OUTSIDE. You'll see 4 screws holding the dash in. Unscrew them all being careful not to lose any of the screws along the way. I would suggest using a magnetising Phillips screwdriver.
The next step is really difficult and quite frustrating. Pull the whole gauge assembly out by pivoting it. I think I faced the top of the assembly towards me with the bottom facing away. It won't come straight out, it will rub slightly against the sides. But it will come out. Then once you have the whole gauge assembly in your lap, undo the 6 or so clear tabs which attach the clear plastic to the whole thingamajig. These tabs are fragile, so be very careful with them. Just push all of them in and the plastic should come straight up.
Voila! Now you can clean it. Just repeat those steps in reverse to put it back together again.
If you can't understand my instructions, just follow the instructions for fitting dials which can be found on the KMC website:
