you should be fine. but i'd give a quick burn if you know they are going to do the MOT straight away :)
I spose if you wanted to be on the safe side you could just stick the cat on or just stick it in the car.

Ok, cheers Aweb, not sure when the MOT is to be honest. How long after a blast is the system 'clean' ? if you know what i mean. :)

Aye  Quoting myself......pure genius!!

A 95 doesn't need to be cat tested so you should be ok......just make sure the garage is aware of this loophole.

8) That's good then! I'll just write him a little note. That's a point, has anybody got an emissions sheet or a link to one i can print off?

Cheers

I think the car is gonna fail. I spoke to a chap from WWW.modelreports.com who says that it SHOULD have a cat fitted as the vehicle was made after August 1992. When i explained the fact stated on this post, he said it would be classed as a fail. I'm confused now and out of pocket......:?: :(

If it was built before August 1995 it definatley doesn't need a cat. I can't find the link to the flow chart which is used to identify if a car can or can not be tested with out a cat. :x I think Vince has posted the link in the past *Wills Nobby to the Thread!*

My 96 GPX goes through its MOT with no CAT

I had printed it off and put it in my car but it seems to have vanished! :?

My car has a custom powerflow stainless exhaust with a Mongoose decat pipe.

But...

Mongoose have just rang me at lunch to say they have finished making my bespoke burnt tip exhaust so that will be going on tomorrow! :P :D
