Post by FT-TRO2 »

:(
Hey Guys!

I need some advice. I turned my Aircon on a couple of days ago and the air aint cold no more!...
Could it be just a Re-gas?...if so how much should I be payin...
Could it be the Aircon belt, or the aircon itself is stuffed up...

The aircon is still pretty strong but the air aint cold..

I just dont wanna go to a repair shop and get stuffed around

thanks guys

You could have a leak in your aircon pipes. Take it to a aircon place and they can put a dye through the system and under ultraviolet light it will show up if there is a leak. If there is they can fix the leak and re-gas the aircon. Shouldn't cost more than $200. Good luck

I have had problems with my aircon as well. It was broken and had to get a new one. However, I ended up finding a place on the GOld Coast that only charged me $800. I got lots of quotes and the average was like around $1500.

My problem was that it used to switch between cold air and just fan. And as the problem got worse, the air that comes out is just like what you've said "no cold air".

I think yours might only need re-gassing if it didn't have the same problem as mine. Best of luck!
