Servicing your FTO

Hi Guys,

Can anyone tell me how to go about servicing my FTO. Like what oil to put in and what sort of stuff needs to be changed. I don't wanna take it to the mechanics cause I don't trust the ones arouond here and if I can look after it myself I would much rather do that. So if anyone can give me some tips on how to do this can you please let me know.

Minor or major service? Has the 100,000km one been done yet (timing belts, etc.)??

yes, well I know that the timing belt has been changed and I had it serviced about 10000kms ago...

I take mine to Ricks down the Gold Coast. He's the only specialist FTO servicer in Queensland AFAIK.

Oil filter + oil, fuel filter and air filter as far as i know. Someone could elborate though.

If it hasnt been done for a while I would change your front bank of sparkies too. (Unless you got Platinums all round).
Also flush coolant and just do a quick check of other fluids.

Oil and filter every 5k. As for the rest get a service manual for the intervals on the fluids etc. It's not hard to do. The only thing i'd recommend would be putting it up on a hoist every now and then to check cv boots etc.
If you can get a service report, maybe an old one lying around or from a friend or family member, copy it. That will help with all the little things you might normally overlook.
