No noticable noise change (maybe a little bit louder), but definately a noticable performance change.
The higher revs in first gear keep pulling hard.
Second gear is just damn awesome fun.
Third gear no longer dies out half way through.
Fourth gear can pick up speed pretty quickly when rolling flat.

And I don't have a fifth gear 'cos I drive a tip

Only problem I had with fitting: work shop that fitted them told me they had to extend the down pipe towards the cat a little bit to get a good connection. Took them a little over 3 hours to fit.

Next up....cat back of some sought.

How is the lower revrange? Did they lose power down low?

I guess you have a standard exhaust/muffler so the sound thing doesn't apply to most of us

You wont 'loose' any power down low. Just that the gains are much more noticeable up high.

Once I hit 5k you can really tell the difference.

As for my exhaust, yeah it's stock from the cat back....still contemplating whether or not moving up to 2.5 is worth it.

Might just leave it at 2.25 and redo the tip (not a cannon though).

Go on, do it! Stock is 2 inch & the factory cat is rubbish.
You'll really notice the difference then

It's only 2"??

Hmm.....there's a light shining now.....must resist.

Bah, should I go custom cat-back or try and find a brand-name part?
(ie HKS, ApexI, Blitz)

I thought stock was 2.25" or so?
Probably brand would be best,
At the same time though because you have an auto might not be worth doing exhaust because you'll lose out on low end power.
Maybe start doing stuff like intake (tb, manifold), heads and chipping it?

Did anyone notice any "Increased" flat spots as I dont think anyone is running the FPR yet?

Mine goes in to get them fitted at RPW tomorrow as mine got scratched and had to be re-coated and re-polished :(

As with the group buy or in general?? I fitted a FPR when i got mine, & you have to re-map your air/fuel ratio or you be running rich.

definite difference in performance and noise. at idle and through the lower reves sounds a lot deeper, however when in the cam change it sounds completely different. a nice mechanical sound, almost a bit harsh, like a M3 when it reves out. dont no if neone else has noticed this, mite just be the mods ive got. the ehxaust shop recons that it mite also have headwork, as the manifolds had been taken off before. he couldnt think of any reason y they would have been taken off. the origional gaskets were replaced aswell and couldnt be reused, so had some graphite custom ones made up.

Next RDO i get i will be getting a FPR fitted and a retune of my unichip. should notice a big difference then! :P

Mine does exactly the same. Just picked my car up from RPW after they fitted the extractors and as soon as I gave it a bit of stick and MIVEC kicked in the 18s got some spin and a very different noise.

Yeah, I seem to recall when I had mine fitted, they sounded almost raspy at first - but once the carbon deposits build up they quieten down a little.

The workshop I was going to get the dyno done at kept saying "we're too busy" and I'd already made the appointment to have them fitted.

Haven't had the time to get an after done, but might ask them next time I drop it in for it's service (which is very soon).
