New Product from RPW - Chrome Molley Flywheels anyone?

Post by Mitsiman »

We are in the process of fitting now the first of a new line of Chrome Molley billet flywheels for teh FTO V6 vehicles.

These not only look great, but weigh 4.5kg and are nice and light weight.

Highly recomended for anyone who is looking for better performance, rpm response and reliability. MOre compatible with semi ceramic clutches with better driveability and for those racing, these are ANDRA approved anti burst units.

Priced around $525.00 for the unit.

So next time you need a clutch - consider this and give us a buzz.

I like Mitsiman, I like.

Whats the weight difference between this & the stock?

Whats the chance of discount on group buy (10+) :)

lol another group buy is no problem.

I havn't actually weighed the stock flywheel to compare the difference but I would estimate that its around a 7kg flywheel as standard

Will the car be quicker?

I heard with light weight flywheels you lose torque and at the same time gearchanges become really snappy?

Although all Honda people seem to want them :)

You get a little, you loose a little.
Upside: less weight hanging off your crank shaft allows the motor to be able to accelerate much faster
Downside: You loose a bit of that low down torque feel - like going up hills in 5th may become a job for 4th, because that weight on the flywheel creates inertia (or momentum if you will.)

I don't believe it - just got a new clutch fitted like less than 1000km's ago. Doin't suppose you would consider a swap with $$$???
