It aint easy... I only did the bottom of the back seat last night & it took me 4 hours...
But you'll get the drift when you pull a seat out & start removing the old cover  It's not all that complex, just time consuming & requiring fingers of steel....

As per other post, i can tee up a time & show you what to do, but i can't help you do it as i only have 1 day off out of 7days. And i need that day to do my own things.

Would that be the husband who was out on his motorcycle most of the time?? I'll take photos this weekend, but I have to take the back seat out again because I seem to have developed a rattle. Would you like me to go through the process of taking the back seat out to prove I can do it?? :D :D

Nah I'm not offended at all its all in good fun, hubby took out the seats for me, and I've offered his services to the other female members (seats only mind u). I certainly admit that was my main sticking point,... I can take out the back seat very easly, and have done it numerous times because of rattles but the front seats were a different matter altogether.. :D But I do know how to do the covers and it is better with an extra pair of hands.

I just buy a set of wires from bunnings, $14 for 40 metres, enough to do 2 cars, & i just bend the end to make a loop, so its easy to insert. And also by making a loop at both end you can tie all four corner nice & tight.

Yeah I advised that to the others but wasnt aware when I did mine so used coat hangers.... Not the best idea but still worked. Bending them was a prob though... and the curley bits...shhheeeesh!

Ok kids, here's a few hints and tips fro beginners...
Front seat, bottom bit, front facing section:
There aint much to cable tie onto - so get creative, cable tie onto cable ties!

As mentioned earlier, with corners, tie your little bits of wire together - then you can use it as another cable tie point!

Image

It allows you to get max pull across the surface & gives that nice tight finish.

Here's some finished shots - only got the drivers seat to go

And here's what stuck Allen keys & loose wire does to ones hand

Yep, cant stress that enough. Take your time folks & dont go nuts on pulling tight your cable ties. Only loosley put in your ties at first, then side by side pull them in bit by bit to acheive the finish your looking for. Some sides dont require as much tension as others. For instance the front & back of the seats are the sides that need tthemost tension to get that pulled flat look. Where as if you pull the side too tight, you can actually compress the foam that gives that nice 'bucket seat' effect & it will flatten it out.

Just adding a quick note, I finally got my trade card from Bunning today, so I can get everything from Bunning at trade price, so even if you not getting anything for the seat covers but would like to buy some stuff from Bunning, let me know. :D
