I am thinking of putting together an online parts DB for the FTO including exploded pictures (from workshop manuals I have) with the ability to click on parts within the exploded picture and have displayed part numbers/descriptions/large pictures and possibly linked to DIY guides if they exist (not unlike what the spare parts centres use in Car dealerships). If I was to embark on this project, I was wondering how much interest there is out there for this type of application.
Im not commiting to this just yet. More trying to gauge interest/usefulness as it would take a LOT of effort to get up.

Parts DB
Already started compiling parts list from as many sources I can find on web. Idea would be to make it into a content management system that anyone could add to (via and approval process). In this way it would be a shared resource for all (FREE)
Have built several CMS before, so all I need is time. At the very least, when I finish compiling the parts list, I will see if I can get it submitted to the site somewhere.
