Mivec & Non-mivec extractors & downpipes same?

Post by wildfaye »

Hi guys, i did a chk on caps.

The part number for facelifted FTOs for the above-mention are the same throughout the entire range.

Can i get a set of non-mivec extractors & downpipes to fit my mivec?

You should be fine. Only difference is a mounting spot on the downpipe near the flex. Any good exhaust shop can wip off the old mount and tack on one that will fit - its just a bit of steel bar welded to the pipe that goes through 2 rubber mounts. You can get away without the mount too if you wanna do a dodgy 8O :)

They are similar and can be interchanged with a bit of work. You wil need to slot the flanges for them to fit.

My mistake - forgot about that. Yeah make sure your round files or straight grinder is in good order.

Go on Gav - you gotta get some extractors. They really make the GR go!
