6A12, what is made of?

Post by spetz »

On one of the forums someone said that the A in 6A12 means it's an aluminium engine.
To my knowledge Mitsubishi never made aluminium engines?
So how true is this? Or maybe its just alloy heads or something?

the "A" in 6A12 denotes the block generation
