fast odometer???

Post by paddymac »

hey guys had my FTO 2 weeks now, runs like a dream.....

but just today i thought i would check out my fuel economy, turned on the trip meter... and its hard to tell but i think its running fast.... it seems to me to be nearly double the speed at least 2/3

as in, it registering 100m in just 50 or so..... im baffeled.... :?

wondering if anyone has heard or come across something like this before??

how did you test such a thing?
Are you make sure it is 100mts.
Also I dont think 50mts is long enough to test it. Cause trip meter only increases in 100mts. Try 1km.

eg:
trip: 160mts displays as 100
So if you travel 50 mts 160+50=210 displays as 200
see

if your trip meter is reading half the distance then your speedo will be measuring half the speed

Well Pat you can drive your other car to a place & note down the km, & then get your fto to go to the same place, & see if the km read the same.
