The other day, I was driving, and then the clutch started playing up, felt like it had no resistance..
So I popped the bonnet, and noticed the clutch fluid, was empty, so I filled it up, only drive about another K, and then it felt like the clutch had no resistance...
I thought it was the slave clynider, because when I bought the car, the report mentioned a leak at the slave..
I took it to the mechanic, and they thought the same thing..
Anyways, they've had the car, for 2 days now, they had the slavc cylinder at some shop, looking for another match, off of another car, but today, they said, none exist, and they will have to "re-condition" the slave cylinder...
Anyone have any idea? Is there really no match for the slave? How will they go about "re-conditioning" it? THey said, they'd incluide a guarentee on the repair, but is this common practice? Will it be ok?
Stupid slave cylinder

Re-conditioning slave cylinders is pretty common prectice. THe my raly car I've got a re-con slave cylinder that I exchanged for my old stuffed one. As long as it's done through someone who knows what they are doing you should be fine, and it should be cheaper than replacing it with a new one even from a lancer I think.
