Traeivon Trampio FTO

Post by spetz »

How good were these things?
They raced against other FWD cars and had an evo engine with a sequential FWD 6 speed gearbox.

What were it's competitors?

The Taeivon FTO was in the GT300 class which also included MR2, RX7, 911 GT2, Silva, BMW, Celica, Skyline and Imprezza

You can read about the races on Richard Batty's site http://www.mitsubishi-fto.net/taeivon/index.htm

So is it known who made the parts for it? Like body kits etc. Or was it all a one off thing? It looks mad... that's the way FTO's should of been made!!!

I found a company in UK that actually make a front bar which are very similar to the Taeivon FTO, but the link to their website don't work anymore :(

How come they chose an FTO to race against those other, seemingly more fierce competitors?
It did good though for what it is (FWD)
Seeing as it's racing Mugen NSX, calsonic GT-R's, Porsche's and so on

The NSX, GTR, & Porsches are at the GT500 Glass. As salacious said, the FTO was in the GT300 Class, which should be against cars like MR2, Silvia....... :D

I believe the rear spoiler was available in Japan but not sure about any of the other parts. It was MarkFTO that told me about that
