Bad wiring?

Post by BuCkEt »

Went to go for a drive tonight only to get to the end of the street and have both my indicators/hazards + tiptronic die on me.

I got it home just using drive. After checking the appropriate fuses (Indicator and Hazard fuses) found that they were both blown. Replaced both.

Start car up, push tip into manual mode, works fine.

Use right indicator - works fine.

Left indicator - blew the fuses again (and now I'm all out of spares).

My assumption is bad wiring on the left hand side of the car, as neither the very left hand rear or parker lights work 100% of the time. Add the fuse-blowing left indicator and something's gotta be wrong.

Any ideas??

Sigh, and I only just got it back. :sadpanda:

Fixed.

Corrosion and dodgy tape jobs on some lighting wiring was the problem.
