Tranny Cooler

Post by payaya »

Hey guys! Boy my tranny hates the heat!!

Who has one?? I pretty sure how to install the thing, but i guess i have to remove the bumper and stuff right??

Also do you guys bypass the tranny cooler in the radiator and use both an aftermarket tranny cooler, and the stock system??

Thanks.

if you know what you're doing it shouldn't take you too long... (took me 1 1/2 hours)...

if its overheating first try using a better quality oil.... i use the redline ATF stuff which is amazing... the only time my oil cooler gets a work out is on the race track... even spirited driving it doesn't relaly do a hell of a lot

if your budget doesnt allow for redline...i think its 100 + ..

then castrol syntrax is also very good. I could feel imediate difference when i shifted from ELF gbox oil to the castrol syntrax.. No crunching and easy cold shifts.

cost is about $65 for three small bottles.
