WA & SA - Kaveman and Teania go Touring

Post by Teania »

In November - Kaveman and I went travelling interstate and caught up with some of the boys and girls with FTO's

First stop was SA

Caught up with Adam, Christy and Chad at an informal gathering at the Village Taverner, Golden Grove - 3 very nice cars, a white FTO (appropriatley tagged PROZAC) and 2 silver ones - Christy's and Chad's NSANE/ ZOMBIE. Unfortunately did not get to go for a cruise (not with Rob and I in my Mum's Festiva :P ). It was lovely to meet you guys and I'll post the photos up (finally) on the weekend :D Next time we'll have the cars - so we'll be up for a nice "challenging" cruise.

Second stop - WA

Well everyone told me Perth was beautiful - and they are right (I still love Sydney though)

Had a quick lunch pre-meet with a couple of the guys at the lovely Belgian Beer Pub, great food and some really ummmm - interesting :P beer.

Later that night Rich kindly let us pile into his little silver bullet and off we trundled to the drags. Rich and Leigh (black FTO) both putting their cars on the track. Top speed reached on the strip was 152 km/h and I think the best time was 14.85 - again - I have photo's - which will also be posted up over the weekend.

The FTO's looked awesome next to each other on the track!!!

This is something that we aim to do at least once a year, the Pres/ VP and Secretary to go to the various states for catch ups with the other members. It was really great to meet and greet. See what they're up to - both socially and car wise. Our ultimate goal to be a really united club - not just a bunch of people in different states doing their own thing.

Hopefully fairly early in the New Year we'll be able to head down to Melbourne for a day or two - with the car this time!!!! (Perth was a bit far to drive :P ) - Although lookout SA - because we promise to bring one of the cars next time!!!

Cheers

Sounds like a great trip. Must admit that FTO's are fairly rare in Adelaide. In a week spent in the city, I only saw 2 or 3 the whole time!

Of course, there is going to be another one there fairly shortly....

You think that's rare?

I'm lucky if I see one a fortnight.

Guess i'm lucky i see a few around but they are mostly stock. Common peoples let's pimp those rides and show our pride!!!
All seriousness FTO's are fairly rare in SA and thats why i had to buy mine in VIC there was a real lack of buying potential here and any that were ok were SO over priced.
