Tiptronic Mods
Sorry if this has been covered before but i was wondering if anyone had swapped the + - on their tiptronic. Apparently it's just a matter of cuttiing two wires and swapping them over. Thanks in advance.

Re: Tiptronic Mods
yeah really easy to do... i did it years ago and it makes downchanging under heavy breaking really simple as the inertia pushes you forwardJase wrote:Sorry if this has been covered before but i was wondering if anyone had swapped the + - on their tiptronic. its all to do with inertia ....barfy wrote:silly question but why would u want to ??
Up to go up in gears down to do down in gears, makes sence to me ?!?!?!

as you accelerate you get pushed back into your chair... moving the stick backwards is easier to upshift
as you brake you get pushed forwards... pushing forwards is easier to downshift

This has always been my theory as well - its just a shame that all Mitsi's are around the wrong waysmorison wrote:its all to do with inertia ....barfy wrote:silly question but why would u want to ??

Mines all done. No probs other than screwing the white thing down to far and not being able to select gears. That and my ignition isn't too keen on letting my key go without a little jiggling. I'm guessing that has to do with the white thingy too. Other than that it's awesome. Just gotta get used to it.

Sorry a bit off the topic, but yeah apparently Mazda had just realized a 10 speakers Bose system package with MP3 for the SP23, I'm sure any Mazda 3 can be upgraded to that.
