hey guyz, does anyone know what it means when the 'N'flashes on the front panel

im fairly sure Flashing [N] designates a fault .. take your car to somewhere with a digagnostic comp.. to pull out the info to advise what the problem is...
had the same thing happen to my car.. but i had the 3rd gear light jammed on as wel as the [N]... ended up being a major transmission fault...
