My Unusal FTO!

Post by Bluntman »

Hey all,
I just picked my car up from Ultra Tune, getting a major service.
I was wondering why it took three days????
When I arrived the head mechanic and I were having a little chat and he said that it took so long due to my car being a GR but having a GPX engine....hmmmm?? I was a bit stunned at first, and he continued to tell me that he couldn't understand why the gaskets weren't fitting properly, so he rang his mate who used to race FTO's and other jap imports and he said it sounds like somebody has swapped engines when it was in japan (would have cost a pretty penny)!
I'm not sure whether to be happy that my car is already modded with a bigger engine, or be sad that i thought it was a stock GPX....

Anyways, any thoughts :?:

Sounds like you and what used to be Minh's car (see Cars For Sale section) are somewhat alike. He had a GX with a GPX engine, and on face value, you have a GR with a GPX engine.

Your chasis number should be able to let you find out whether or not if it was a GR or not in the beginning.

Also, some of your interior options might give clues as to whether it was a GR or GPX.

Thats a Mivec engine for sure, hmmmmm i wonder if the previous owner had upgraded the brakes too.

But think about it this way, you brought a GPX for the price of a GR
