As a general rule do most of the aftermarket side skirts simply fit over the factory ones? i.e. If I bought a car with them fitted could I simply take them off if they're not to my liking?
The ones in particular I'm referring to are the Ducaro / Duraco or something brand

Do the side skirts look like the ones on this pic:

I'm pretty sure these side-skirts are completely separate to the stock ones. In order words, they don't "fit over" existing side skirts. So, if you took them off, you wouldn't have any side skirts at all.
But as a general rule for side skirts, the aftermarket ones are something separate.
