My FTO if driven for long periods starts to surge, It will rev ok but will not drive. If i turn it off and back on it will be ok for 25-30km more?
This does not happen around town only if driven cont for 30min or more.
Any help would be great!. Also how do i order parts and pay for them? THANKS

I have that when i'm completele out of petrol. My suggestion would be to look at your fuel system, and work out if the fuel is being delivered properly.

Im in agreeance with boris sounds like a fuel problem, how much fuel is in the tank when this happens? If its low say less than 1/4 tank it could be some crap in the fuel tank?

try changing your fuel filter in the engine bay on the firewall

make sure you use two spanners to undo the fuel filter, one to hold the fuel line, and one to undo the fuel filter.... make sure you dont twist the fuel line as i did using one wrench...

There's also another fuel filter under the back seat.

Heya, I did not know that, I changed the normal fuel filter in the engine bay at 100k, should you change the one under the back seat at the same time ? is it the same type of fuel filter ?

i doubt it would be the fuel filter? Because if it was blocked, the surging would happen all the time right??
Anyway surging can be a hard problem to find the fault.
Could be a rang of things, TPS, Fuel Pump, etc etc.
fuel starvation isnt good for the engine either, leaning out is a really bad problem to have.

If you get water in the fuel, and therefore in the filter, that is how it sounds.
Drives OK for a while, then really bad surging. Leave for a while, and it is OK for a bit then surging again.
First stop, change the fuel filter. Cheapest and easiest of all the possibilities. Don't always think that a big problem needs a big solution.
