ive seen a yellow FTO with a car of the year badge on it. It may have been above the indicator? or near window on the side??? i actually cant remember.....but i would imagine that it won car of the year in Japan for the 1995 model not because it was yellow..... (im certain there is no diff to engine or interior/exterior).

The GPX man is 0 - 100 in 7.6 auto is 8.1.
I dont know what KW the commo puts out, i dont know anything about holdens... you would have to find out its KW and weight, and there should be a stat sheet somewhere.

The FTO won car of the year in 1994/1995 and there was a Limited Edition model made to commemorate this, and it only comes in yellow.
This would have a small badge on the car saying "car of the year"

The Yellow FTO car of the year model has a small oval badge on the rear pillar between the rear windscreen and the small rear quater windows it is about half way up the pillar. This model has a couple of differances the main one being that it came out with a LSD

simple - if it's yellow, then it's the COTY edition. ...but does anybody know if they came out in manual with a sunroof?? I'm dying for one - in fact if one show up at the auctions today (yellow, manual & sunroof), i'd sell my current car right away to replace it!

...but I'd rather have the yellow shade on the Monaro instead though - Dandelion yellow is a little too 'lemon-ish' for my taste but hell - i just want the bloody sunroof!

A stock FTO GPX tip with blow any standard 3.8L Commies away. However the supercharge 3.8L will be pretty much even with the GPX

from experience, ive had several little P platers and prolly just off P platers in commodores try to race me off the line....
i dont know wether it was their lack of driving ability or what, but i havent been beaten by one yet, the closest was an even run when i wasnt pushing it to hard....

But who would seriously drive a falcon or a commodore if you could drive an FTO ;)

there's a separate thread for stories on runs now...

http://www.ftoaustralia.com/modules.php ... opic&t=363

this thread is specifically about yellow FTOs after all... ;)
