Alternator help
Hi guys - Been a while!
My alternator's sh*t itself and I need a replacement.
Am I better off getting a second hand one (Which I remember is hard to find), or is there anyway to do something about the current one instead of forking out for a brand new one?
Thanks in advance!
**EDIT: Used the search, I understand I'm better off getting it reconditioned. Can any mechanic do this, or is there anywhere I can get a reconditioned one?

Sooty!
Yours is a GR from memory yeah? That's the 2 pin alternator, heaps easier to source than the GPX 4 pinner.
Seen a few on eBay brand new for under $300, or yeah, get it to an auto sparky to reco.

The man himself!
Cheers Ben - That definitely makes me breathe easier. Appreciate the help
Hope the coast is treating you well! May have to pop over and visit sometime as it's been far too long.
Sahin - Even better! Would you consider selling it to me?

Old timer?
M f*cker I'm forever 19!
Feels like longer than 10 years to be honest, but really puts things into perspective.
-
Sahin sorted me out, I've got Ben's old Alternator coming to me.
Cheers lads
I'll see you sooner or later, might start lingering in the local section and see what's happening (A far cry from my previous
camping spot under that bridge in the gibberish section).
