Where is the temp sensor for temp guage in an FTO?

Post by dstocks »

and 2nd question. Should be able to measure ohms by putting on the stove in boiling water. How do I measure watts. I need to simulate one of these with a rheostat for my simulator and need to get one with the right range.

Thanks in advance

You need to know current and resistance or voltage and resistance.

Get the output voltage of the switch.

Did the boil and got readings, but ended up finding the details in the Chassis Electrical section of the 2nd workshop manual. At 70 degrees, measures 104 ohms, so grabbed a 150 ohm rheostat. Hopefully that will do the trick.
