Power steering
Just lost power steering intermittently while parking this morning. Rapidly came on and off while reverse parking then came back on. Me thinks pump buggered? Any ideas guys?
And yeah fluid is full.

Re: Power steering
Belt doesn't screech, and its new. I think pulley or pump.
I fix cars.

Re: Power steering
Pump doesn't 'sorta work' intermittently, it either fails or it doesn't. Also, did you bleed the system properly when you refilled the fluid?

Re: Power steering
And if you've just replaced the belt, that's even more telling. What's the total lateral play in the centre of the longest point to point span of the best?

Re: Power steering
This is the problem... The deflection needs to be checked from the bottom at the longest span. ... As per manual
