I have a factory Momo wheel in the shed.
It needs re-leathering.
....But I think I will hang onto it.

Well the key didnt work, so looks like aftermarket keyless it is. I have a steelmate kit laying around so I'll just use that.

Dunno why you'd want the factory one anyway. Keyless range is like half a foot. It's 20 year old rubbish.silverGPX wrote:Well the key didnt work, so looks like aftermarket keyless it is. I have a steelmate kit laying around so I'll just use that.
I've got just a house & garden immobiliser with keyless entry from Strathfeild car radios, it's brilliant. Can open it from 3 streets away while I'm rubbing one out in the shower.

Why are you rubbing one out in the shower of a house three streets away from where your car is parked?

I was trying to OEM it out, as it was all there Ben.
Can I just splice into wires coming from the door lock ecu?

I have one already? What am getting rid of? The antenna unit thing behind the drivers rear or the door ecu under the dash?

I have a steelmate keyless entry with receiver. Do I remove the factory receiver and put my one in its place? Does this have wires coming directly from the door for it

Re: Factory MOMO Steering wheel + Oem keyless entry key
Okay not even sahin understood me. I'm wondering to I put the aftermarket receiver before the ecu and receiver and just cut out all the factory stuff and connect it straight to both actuators or.. Can I put it where the factory receiver is and cut the plug off and splice new receiver in and have it control the door ecu that's under the dash.
