Need some helps

Post by woot woot »

Hey guys,
Just a quick one, i was wondering if anyone could possible take me for a short drive in their Fto? I am currently in the market for a car and it is kind of between the FTO and 2000 model celica. I am leaning heavily to the celica as i know where to get parts and do know a lot about them but the FTO is always niggling at me. I have never driven a fto but have a massive soft spot for them. I would really appreciate the gesture and can help out with mechanical stuff as i am handy with a spanner (Insert sexual innuendo here) if you ever needed help.
Ideally would be a GPX in manual but would not mind either way and possibly in Melbourne west

Cheers Guys

A little too much stretch for my liking on that one, but holy hell it's a nice angle. Must despoiler mine as I keep talking about, haha.

Yea, a little too much stretch, I like what's on Nick's FTO:

Would've helped you out if you were in gold coast :)
Don't go for the Celica....they are just glorified Camry. I thought of the Celica before I got my fto as well (along with Soarers).

How soon are you looking at test driving? We "might" be hosting an FTO DIY Day next weekend in Melbourne, so there will be a few FTO's at least :)

Vaguely on topic. Liked the look of that Russian FTO so much I google imaged it to see if I could find any more shots.

DAMN, that thing is freakin' low and running some wide rims. Reckon it'd take the full lip off the Factory Ts bar if you hit a speed bump.

9 inches on the front 10.5 on the back. 8O 215/40 and 245/35 respectively. Makes prefacelift look so sooo good. http://www.stanceworks.com/forums/showt ... ?p=1141782

Its funny because I know if they were 18s he would scrub everywhere and if he didn't it would have the hardest suspension ever or the rears were tubbed

That looks absurd. Nice hard corner will rip that tyre off the bead.

Yeah the stretch is excessive. And the rolling diameter is smaller than stock.. Unless the GS models came with smaller tyres as opposed to the GR/GPX.

With wheels like that I reckon you'd be giving anything alongside your car a wide berth, haha.
