Fuel Economy
So I noticed my tank was pretty low on fuel today, but the light wasn't on. So I stopped in at a BP checked my trip computer and it said 780kms, which I have reset every refill, and I always fill to the top. I was pretty shocked and my mate called BS. but there's no bs. I filled it up and it stopped on 44.61L @ $1.76 a litre. So there was still more to go so I may of reached 800, but usually I get 600+ a tank anyway.
I always use BP ultimate 98 generally from the same outlet but in some cases I can't.
So I was curious and there's probably few threads about it, but I feel like making a conversation out of it
So what's the most and your average?
I'm pretty happy with my efforts, I try to drive efficiently but sometimes mivec temps me and I give in
This is mostly around my town driving its not too traffic heavy and most times I get a clear run as its usually at 4:30 in the morning or 2-3 in the arvo. With a few trips down the coast and back.

Re: Fuel Economy
I tend to average 10L/100KM on mine, but I know I can do a round trip to Christchurch on a tank, which is around 800KM

Re: Fuel Economy
I'm so far very Impressed, I thought going to a v6 would bring pain and suffering to my wallet fuel wise but my prelude only use to get 400-450 a tank and that was a 2.3l 4 cyl. I don't think I've every had the FTO under 600 and if it was would be very high 500's in the 7 months of ownership!

Re: Fuel Economy
Not another thread about fuel economy, how to save fuel, increase economy etc etc etc, just another thread for everyone to compare their dicks (fuel economies...)
But according to fuel log my average is 10.13L/100km
Used to be much better, but I haven't been grannying my fto lately like I normally do so it's put it up a bit

There are two types of people on forums; those that give helpful advice, and the others

I never granny my car... It doesn't help that I have to take hilly roads to get into town though :p

Re: Fuel Economy
Maybe he'll be lucky and it'll evaporate before any draining happens lol. happened to my old car, sat for so long i had 1/4 of fuel and got in it a year or so later and nothing in there. or it leaked out but i don't think so, poor guy that bought it, right after he paid for it he said "Will it make it up to Townsville" and i laughed and said i hope so.Daniel2019 wrote:Have fun draining all your old fuel outSahin wrote:I haven't filled mine up since last year

Re: Fuel Economy
Quoted from an old threadPHIL069 wrote:I have had my fuel light come on, on the 2012 Bathurst trip.
I filled up at home and drove the entire trip on the one tank, refuelled at a local petrol station just before arriving home.
I drove 850Km's in the trip, was showing empty at about 650Km's, fuel light came on at about 750- 780Km's or 5mm under empty just as the needle got to the letter "E".

Yeah, same currently, but the car did use to do more.bryan wrote:hmmm thats weird im only doing like 400 at most a full tank...
Do a service, and then start replacing sensors and exhaust parts.
I have 1 thing left, and that's the temperature sensor.
