Non airbag indicator stalk with rear wiper stalk
The indicator cluster off a non airbag FTO with the rear wiper option. Going to attempt the conversion, and have been told that the one off my busted car won't work as the plug is different due to the airbag.

Re: Non airbag indicator stalk with rear wiper stalk
Is it just the plug itself, nothing to do with the arms attaching to the steering column?
From putting the Momo on my RVR which was non air-bagged, I simply had to make up a way for the horn to work as there is an extra attachment (clock spring I believe)
in front of the stalks and behind the steering wheel...
I reckon you could get away with using yours from the GX and simply cutting/ swapping plugs.
Can have a look at it for you when you get the other car, see if it's do-able...
Will check on ASA tonight for a diagram, see if there is anything obvious
As is, you will need to do the same trick I did with the momo as your other one doesn't have an airbag... correct?

Re: Non airbag indicator stalk with rear wiper stalk
Why don't you want the momo steering wheel?
It's an easy swap and looks much nicer...
Can do both once you have the car pending some testing with the multimeter.
Steering wheel I can definitely do easily.
Rear wiper switch can't be much harder, I've done worse electrical things in a car.
Just a few extra wires and what not, should be easy enough to do.

Re: Non airbag indicator stalk with rear wiper stalk
i'd want a steering wheel similar to craigs (in the blue one), but saying that, might swap it around for the meantime...i really am not sure. things that aren't really important like that are tossed so high in the air at the moment i'm not worrying about it to be honest. will get to it when i need to basically.Astron_Boy wrote:Why don't you want the momo steering wheel?
