Driving down the road today and took off from a light. Reached 5th gear and my oil check light came on. I pulled aside immediately, I checked if oil was making it to the head, positive on that. The light is now off but it flickers at high rpms and bumps on the road.
Changed oil and filter Sunday gone. 20-50 Castrol Magnetic oil.

Re: Oil Light
20 weight oil? Is that too thick?
It could be a faulty oil pressure switch or it could be the connector on the switch is dirty or frayed.

Re: Oil Light
Did you actually check the oil level with the dipstick?

Re: Oil Light
Check the sender unit, it's down by the lower pulley.

Meanwhile, could have used 15/40 with the last change.

Re: Oil Light
Checked the unit and saw the wire seemed pinched but I took the car back out and got no oil light. No sign of rod knock
