$18 each from Mitsubishi Australia (Just don't tell them it's for an FTO)

Thanks Vectose.

Re: Double half moon seal
Kinda defeats the purpose of a 'seal' being made of alloy yeah?

Re: Double half moon seal
Well i figured if Mitsubishi made the alloy seal (genuine part) then there must be some merit to it.
If not for durability then yeah, why was it made in the first place???
The original rubber seal heat and shrink over time which require regular replacement unless you dont mind the small oil leaks.
If the alloy seal is available for FTO motor as well then i'm on board is all im saying.

Re: Double half moon seal
I'm guessing the use of liquid gasket or oil resistant sealant perhaps? I wouldn't expect the alloy part to hold up on its own. There has got to be a better way. Anyways all valid points.

If you have to use liquid sealant/gasket on a new seal doesnt that kinda defeat the purpose?NextLevel wrote:I'm guessing the use of liquid gasket or oil resistant sealant perhaps? I wouldn't expect the alloy part to hold up on its own. There has got to be a better way. Anyways all valid points.
