Replacing brake disk rotors
Does the whole caliper have to come off to change the rotors? And is it just the two bolts on the back?
Not sure if this is a stupid question but I'm unsure, as I have never done this before.

4 bolts. The 2 big slide pin bolts to get the caliper off, then the 2 on the back that hold the cradle part of the caliper to the hub.

Are you doing pads as well, or just the rotors?

Just the rotors
There's no particular type of pad that has to be used with drilled rotors is there?
Because nothing is faster than a p plater in a commodore.....
except maybe a p plater on a unicorn

I was more thinking you may have to compress the pistons in the calipers a bit to get them to fit over the new rotor - as it'll be slightly thicker.

Yeah I did have to compress them back in, also had to bend the backing plate/guard thing back abit because the rotor was just touching it as it spun.

Camskill $96 for the pair so at $48 each gotta be a pretty f'n good price right?

$75 but with the rotors i ordered tierod ends,gaskets,timing belt kit and radiator cap. $75 postage for the lot not sure how much for disks alone

I thought it wasn't a good idea as it would wear the rotor unevenly, possibly?

Can anyone confirm this?
I drove the car for about 10mins first time today and these marks are what was left on the rotors, is this bad or just wearing in?

Your pads have worn to the shape of your old rotors. So you don't have full contact from pad to rotor. You can see you are only contacting on the outer diameter.
Yes you should really change pads and rotors as a set.
You can just change pads when they are worn as they will wear to the used rotors' rough face quickly.
But it is going to take a while for your pads to wear flat on the smooth face of a new rotor, they will eventually, but you will have insufficient braking until this happens.

Ok but will this damage the rotors in anyway? I would of done pads aswell but i bought $135 Bendix ultimates and put them in only 3months ago so don't want to unless I have to?
Don't mind having them not brake to their full potential for a while, just don't want to do any damage.

Your pads will wear a lot quicker than your rotors, give them some time and you should see the contact mark on the rotors equalise.
If worried you could always take your pads out and flatten/smooth them with some emery paper.
