Can't wait to install these badboys
These have been waiting in my garage forever lol... In my possession: KYB Excel G shocks, Lovell Lowered Springs, New Droplinks, Whiteline Strut tower brace both front and rear. Keen to put these on my "boat" . All that I need to buy are new topmounts and new poly bushes, which I am currently on to.

You do know that all this stuff would work better in a car rather than a boat .den0va wrote: Keen to put these on my "boat"

Re: Can't wait to install these badboys
Looking good.
Can you take pics of the front shocks if you get a chance?
And what droplinks are those?
My suggestion is to add an upgraded rear swaybar, and also fit camber pins at the front and add a tiny bit of camber too. If you have good tires by now the car should be on rails.

Re: Can't wait to install these badboys
Vectose has provided photos of shocks. Those droplinks are ones that Ben recommended in a thread I found, $50 for fronts also $50 for the back; both with free postage and handling. All up, $100 for front and rear droplinks. They are made from some third party in Taiwan, can't remember the name but are equivalent to a Mitsu oe replacement. May even be slightly uprated, the quality is awesome.spetz wrote:Looking good.

Bought them off eBay, here's the link: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-FRONT-Sway ... 298wt_1037
And nah I'm going to keep original sway bars and not touch camber; for the same reason I'm not going to buy pillowball top mounts (or even full coilovers), it's a daily driver, not a track car and I would rather just get a decent setup rather than go all out. Wish I had a money tree

Re: Can't wait to install these badboys
Are the front shocks the same length as FTO shocks if anyone knows?
As the Lancer ones (which still fit) are longer hence no good for a lowered car

Yeah KYB's are the same... Ben had them side by side in the suspension thread or diy changing shocks springs or whatever it is.

Re: Can't wait to install these badboys
Again
In total I have spent $800 for my suspension overhaul, that includes Tein pillow ball mounts, KYB shocks, all bushes, drop links, bump stops, dust covers and other little bits and pieces.
