What do you guys think? how hard is it to wind back the odometer in an FTO?

not too sure about winding back the Odo, but that does look damn clean...
Could quite possibly be genuine. There are a few here still with <100,000Kms.

Yes, they can be wound back.
It's possible those k's are genuine, however a thorough engine check is the only way to ensure.

It's a clean enough example.

I read that almost all imports are wound back...
It's probably a well kept example and they take into account what is "believable" when they wound back the km.

To give you an example, I have a 1994 car (bought new by my dad) with 103,000km on it. If I fix up the suspension a bit to give it that tight new car feeling I can wind it back to 30,000km and for sure no one can argue that the kilometers aren't genuine considering the overall condition of the car. So, it's more how car is taken care of rather than how many km it has

Hi guys, am new to this forum. As of yesterday, I am a proud owner of a 1996 FTO GPX...

I WAS looking at this one to purchase - and decided against it because I had a bad feeling about the K's and thought it could have possibly been wound back so looked elsewhere. Seemed too good to be true.
