Timing Belt

Post by Vectose »

Has anyone used or heard of the brand Blueprint for timing belts? And if so what is the quality like?

Alright, Camskill has gotten back to me and have stated that the Blueprint timing belt is a "Sun" timing belt. Has anyone ever used these before? Am I better off just getting a Gates belt?

I'm interested in whatever answers anybody may have for this, as I'm in dire need of a timing belt change as well, and would love to know what I should get...

I am placing an order with Camskill for a few other things.

The timing belt kit from Camskill is $125AUD and comes with a Sun timing belt, centre idler bearing, tensioner and alternator + power steering belts.

Not sure on the price of a Gates belt.

Is that landed? The Gates alone will cost you approximately that if bought locally.

That's if I buy it with the other stuff im buying. No extra shipping charges. I'm just not sure on the quality of the timing belt.

Dunno, never used one. Considering half the FTOOC buy from Camskill, its probably gonna be a safe bet though.

Tbh that doesnt surprise me, dont get me wrong i think its horrible but come on. middleaged/elderly woman in a japanese import sports car who knows next to nothing about the car/cars in general? just asking to be taken for a ride by some asshole mechanic who knows he can get away with it.
Unfortunately cars like the FTO are already expensive enough to run, and even more so for the people who arent enthusiasts/mechanically minded enough to know when theyre being taken for a ride.

Now, to sit back and watch all the people get the wrong idea about this post and hate on me
