How much can i lower my car?
Hi everyone. I have 17x8 ford tickford wheels which are powdercoated black and have 215/45/17's on them. Not sure what offset is but the guy at bobjane said they will fit great, which they do. Just wanting to know how far i could lower it without front wheels scraping when turning? My plan is to just use new excel g's with king springs and get my guards rolled. Should i remove or cut into my front inner guards or would they be fine? Thanks for your help.

Re: How much can i lower my car?
I have 17x8.25" wheels with 215/45/R17 wheels, they do scrub but only on the plastic inner guards when i hit dips in the road or have the wheels at full lock; not the edge of the guards and mine aren't rolled at all... not sure exactly how much lower than stock my car is but here is a picture for an idea.
I think to get it really low you would have to say goodbye to the plastic guards all together especially at the front as they are level with the edge of the outer guard and possibly go for coilovers instead of a shock + lowering spring setup.

Cool thanks man that the same height i'm wanting. Do you have coilovers? Or if not, do you know what brand the springs are? Cheers

Don't forget that the offset of the wheels makes a huge difference.
It should be stamped on the back of them, and you can use an offset calculator on the internet to see how much further they'll stick out

So i had my shocks looked at and they are still good condition so i'm just putting lowered king springs in it. Can anyone tell me which bushes i should replace when i put my new springs in?
