Flashing N Still !!!!
Guys i need major help ! Ive even been to my mechanic and had him check the codes and there is like 5 differnet ones like including soildnoid being open and short ? He thinks i need a new computer or a second hand one ??? Guys please help ): and i have tried to change the output sensor and it has made it worse by going into limp mode as soon as i drive, but changed back to old sensor because at least i can drive and it will change gears with only going into limp mode now and again, mostly when going into third gear, also it only sometimes mostly after or just before the limp mode it like crunches and delays gear changes and also going from nuetral to drive makes you jolt too, only sometimes.
Someone please help !!!!

Re: Flashing N Still !!!!
Was it really necessary to start a new thread instead of continuing one of your other ones?
And Silver, you need to reimburse him for the output sensor

You need to go and get the sensors out of a car that you actually know that works and test it...

Re: Flashing N Still !!!!
Yea were already talking through PM, it seems he needs an entirely new gearbox, possibly only computer - problems seem to be more than just sensors acting up it seems.
But i am more than happy to refund the money of course if they are faulty

Re: Flashing N Still !!!!
Sounds like your transmission has overheated sometime and fried the internal electrics. What is your AT fluid like, has it gone brown and smell burnt?
Happened to my old falcon and I had to get 3 solonoids replaced, cost me $900.
Maybe you need to go to an automatic transmission workshop.

Yeah i need to figure out what it is /: and ill check now, and let you's know but wouldnt it be better and cheaperto replace gearbox rather than doing soildnoids ? And my mechanic just thinks its the computer :S
Im really confused, and yeah taz's sensors made my gearbox worse went straight into limp mode after it wouldnt change out of first before i got it to like 5000 rpm /: and i couldnt really get to the input sensor /:

Check it right meow.
If the fluid is brown it's an instant notification.
Going Gen Y on not reading the previous thread, but did no-one state to check that off the bat?

Re: Flashing N Still !!!!
Sorry to hear that, but at least you know what the problem is.
You could try replacing the fluid but I doubt that will fix your transmission.
Replace transmission (try dstocks) or recondition transmission (automatic transmission workshop, yellow pages), get prices for both and compare.
You will also have to replace your radiator, as this is what cools your transmission fluid and obviously it must be blocked and not cooling.

Re: Flashing N Still !!!!
I would not say the radiator has any issues.
As transmission fluid is not of the same chemical make up as coolant, it is unlikely that there is a blockage for the oil to not be cooled.
This will save you the most money. (also note I said don't buy that other transmission yet)
Drain the gearbox of it's oil.
unconnect the hoses leading from the transmission to the radiator and let them drain.
replace the filter of the transmission.
Reconnect all hoses and put sump plug back in.
Put in fresh transmission fluid
Drive the car for 30mins/ until the car is warm.
go back home, let the car cool for a little bit, then drain the fresh oil you just put in.
Also, disconnect the hoses for the trans cool and let that drain.
replace the filter again.
put all hoses back on, sump plug back on.
Fresh fluid in.
Send me a cheque for the amount of a replacement gearbox, for saving you the cost of buying a replacement gearbox.
That is all.
I bought my RVR with a suspected gearbox issue, which I well knew was bad fluid.
Car drove perfectly fine after I did the above with zero issues.
Some people say mitsu make gearboxes from glass, but I find their autos to be rather robust given they can survive so long on burnt fluid.
After you have done the above, keep checking the oil, it should be perfectly fine for quite some time.
When you do your next oil change, or atleast after 5,000k, replace the fluid once again.
The gearbox should be right now on that fluid for atleast 10-15,000k.
Then just keep up on maintenance.
ALSO. disconnect the battery and let the car reset once you've done the 2nd oil change. (forgot about these cars tcu for a second)
