Where to buy GR Alternator Belt?

Post by -Nighthawk- »

Hey guys,
I'm replacing my alternator this week (finally picked up a new one today) so I'm thinking I may as well do the alternator belt at the same time.

Which local stores would I be able to pick one up from? (Repco, Supercheap, Autobarn?) and what would the part number I need be?

Thanks

If the power steering belt hasn't been changed for a while you might also want to change that while you're in there as well.

Part numbers:
Alt. Belt - 4PK940 OR 4PK945
P/S Belt - 6PK1070 OR 6PK1080

Any auto parts store should carry them.

Proper specs is a 4PK950 or 6PK1065.

Supercheap sell Bosch types which is usually 2/3 the price of repco which sell a higher qaulity gates belt.

Should also mention that any of the above belts will fit, so if the store doesn't have one you can get the other, the tensioners will take up the extra slack.

We like Camskill, but postage costs kill most dreams.

We get them through dstocks from Japan direct for a cheaper price.

Yep still need to do strut tops and replace my alternator (the battery will die sometime this week :P).

When are you free? I'm back at my place in the SE for a few weeks so we can use my factory if you'd like. We definitely need an impact wrench for the strut bolts though haha

Might be raining, and we can only fit 3 or so FTOs inside. Can just make it you, james and myself if you'd like?
