planning to get a new alarm with remote start and other aux(boot release). Currently has a basic Rhino immobilizer installed.
Anyone using viper 5901, does it come with a immobilizer? I know chris is using 5902
anyone using steelmate898g? how's the quality?
or any other suggestion welcome

The steelmates are a very good unit.
However there is more support for the Rhino in the way of aftersales.
Never tried Viper and until recently, never heard of them.

had a bit of search in the forum and apparently quite a few love the viper and hate the steelmate. Googled steelmate and can't really find reviews.
never heard anyone use Rhino(beside myself). Haha.

5901 comes with "failsafe starter kill" which I imagine is an immobiliser.
I have an older model version of that and quite like it. Only downside is that it goes through a AAA battery every 2-3 months. I keep spares in the car and change it over when it gets low.

Viper is a very known car security brand and has much support all of Australia. Why not drop into your local car audio/alarm shop and they will tell you all that you will need to know

reason why i ask about steelmate is because I can get a Steelmate 898g with remote start+boot release mechanism for around $180AUD. which I think its pretty cheap
