Mitsubishi Club Australia Closure Notice

Dear Members

Due to the dramatic fall of members and activity on this forum it has been decided to shut Mitsubishi Club Australia down. Furthermore expressions of interest were offered for a new team to take over the site however no suitable applicants applied leaving us with no other option.

I do thank all members who have participated in events, members who who made Mitsubishi Club Australia what it was, a family friendly car club and to our site sponsors and donating members who supported us.

Should you wish to contact me regarding the closure of the site i can be reached at admin@mitsubishiclubaustralia.com

I assume there would be a few people who would come out the wood work wanting stuff.

Wish an email was sent prior.

I knew there was an imminent closure if no-one stepped up, but rather sudden closure when there was no-one.

Obviously the bill is due to be paid and so closing before next due...

It's not just MCA.... all Mitsubishi forums are quiet with the exception of maybe some dedicated Evo forums.
There is no love for Mitsubishi...

Gives us more of a underground statist. I'm interested to know what FTO will be considered in 10-15 years time, for a car i feel helped paved the way for other car company that came after it, aerodynamics wise. A nice rear end is not all looks ;)

I will always be a mitsi man, followed by nissan, followed by subi (a recently changed opinion)
Nothing beats the 4g for me
Mitsi has always rung in a generation of stunning cars like the evo the FTO, the VR4 and many other cars i cant think of at 23:30
Rock on FTOaus
Just hope my FTO is running in 15 years

Yes but sometimes Mitsubishi annoys me...
For example the weak rods... why???
And the 4G9X series motors have such bad R/S ratio
The (up until recently) iron blocks

It just seems they do so many things well, but everything now and then they just completely overlook a few simple things.

Maybe FTO's will make a come back. The trend seems to be slowly moving towards NA cars and maybe soon the FTO will be prized... don't know though

The focus is moving away from performance and more toward economy and size.

With taxes on the increase, new ones coming in, hippies bitching about the damn penguins and the government agreeing, the car scene is simply slowly dying.

Sadly it means clubs like MitsiBoys, MCA and many others will simply disappear in to the web archive and then forgotten.

A shame when many people put in effort to make these things work, but in the end not much can be done.

So long as there are lunatics like us around a small part of the car scene will still exist.

Yes but loneliness loves company.
FTO numbers are going down, they are getting cheaper, so people with less money are buying them. They have less money to spend on good modifications, upkeep etc, and soon there will be no good FTO's left.
It is like an apocalypse...

Anyway, I have noticed, with surprise, that the car scene really is dying down. I can't understand why though as I think love for cars is innate in most males hence you would expect this to persevere.

The moment ARC closed down I lost faith in humanity.
